Warranty Policy

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED

 

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED offers FULL or LIMITED Warranty under terms clearly defined below.

DURATION

Except as otherwise specified, SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED provides a 12 MONTHS full warranty for all products and systems sold and installed by the Company or its accredited agents or representatives from the original date of purchase and a 14-Day Return Window (see RETURN POLICY below) for non-defective, untampered purchases.

All claims under the warranty policy must be accompanied by the Purchase invoice (PI) and Receipt issued to the buyer when the warrantee product was purchased. The PI number serves as your warranty number and must be retainedSOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED will not honor any warranty service request without the Purchase invoice and Receipt of purchase.

All shipping fees for returned products to and from SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED during and after the warranty period are the responsibility of the customer.

WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

OWNERSHIP OF REPLACED PRODUCTS

All original parts, i.e., parts installed by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED at the original system build and are replaced by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED during repairs or replacement under full and limited warranty terms and condition are the property of SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED. Any after-market additions or modifications made by purchaser are totally excluded from the SOLARSPELNDOR LIMITED warranty.

WARRANTY TERMS

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to any solar products purchased from SOLARSPELNDOR LIMITED other than as set forth.

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to any other manufacturer’s product or documentation, its quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description. 

Except as provided below, SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage that may result from use, misuse or inability to use any product or system purchased from SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED. Under no circumstances shall SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of any solar product purchased from SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED.  

The warranty and remedies set forth below are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty. 

FULL WARRANTY

Except for specific products like batteries, SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED warrants components/products/systems and parts purchased from and installed by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED, its accredited agents or representatives against defects in materials or workmanship for 12 MONTHS from the original purchase date. During this period, SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED will repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts at the full discretion of SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED, without charge to customer.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Components/Products/Systems and their parts purchased from but not installed by the trained professional personnel or accredited representatives of SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED are covered under a Limited Warranty against defects in materials ONLY for 6 MONTHS from the original purchase date and will attract a minimum assessment charge of N60,000 per damaged product, each time an item is returned for repairs during the limited warranty period. 

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER TO ARRANGE TO RETURN/TRANSPORT DEFECTIVE UNIT AS WELL AS ARRANGE TO COLLECT REPAIRED/UNREPAIRED UNIT FROM THE OFFICES/WAREHOUSE OF SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED NO MATTER WHERE LOCATED.

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED WILL NOT SEND ITS STAFF TO COLLECT OR BEAR ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COLLECTION AND OR DELIVERY OF ANY COMPONENT/PRODUCT/SYSTEM COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY PROGRAM OR OUT OF WARRANTY ITEMS.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

The Warranty is subject to the following conditions: 

1.      This warranty extends ONLY to products manufactured, distributed and/or sold by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED.

2.      It is effective only if the products are purchased and operated in Nigeria and or any African country to which SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED has made the specific sale. 

3.      This warranty covers only normal use of components/products/systems sold by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED.  SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED. shall not be liable under this warranty if any damage or defect results from (i) misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping or installation; (ii) disasters such as fire, flood, lightning, earthquakes or improper electric current; or (iii) service or alteration by anyone other than an authorized SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED representative; (iv) damages incurred through irresponsible use, including those resulting from improper and unauthorized installers and installation methods or the use of unauthorized or substandard products or components used in conjunction with SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED products, or if customer rejects recommendation to purchase protective components like Stabilizers, Change over switches, Thunder arrestor, etc., or other non-recommended practices. 

4.      The Customer must present a valid PI and Receipt issued by SOLARSPELNDOR LIMITED in order to receive warranty service. 

5.      No warranty extension will be granted for any replacement part(s) furnished to the purchaser in fulfillment of this warranty. 

6.      SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED accepts no responsibility for any loss of System programs, data or information stored on any media or any parts of any products returned for repair to SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED. 

7.      This warranty does not cover any third party components or related problems. 

8.      SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED makes no warranty either expressed or implied regarding third-party (non-SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED.) components or solar systems. 

9.  All customers will PREPAY A standard Call out Fee of N60,000 for repair callout orders within Lagos State, NIGERIA for Components/Products/Systems under LIMITED warranty as defined above before an Engineer is sent out for any repairs or call outs. If however, the customer has a FULL Warranty this callout fee does not apply and required component/product/system part will be promptly repaired or replaced free of charge under the warranty provisions. 

RETURN POLICY 

A newly purchased, non-defective product/component/system may be returned to SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED within 14 Days of purchase for a refund of the original purchase price under the following provisos: 

1.      SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED will refund neither the original shipping cost nor the shipping and handling fees incurred from any return. 

2.      No refund will be granted for any Component/Product/System sold by SOLARSPELNDOR LIMITED when the original packaging has been opened, or when used or tampered with in any way that jeopardizes SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED’s ability to remarket or resell the component/product/system. SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED maintains full discretion in decisions regarding a product’s fitness for return. 

3.      Returns eligible for refund as herein defined are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which percentage is taken from the final purchase price less any shipping or handling charges. 

To return a defective product, please contact our Customer Service Department and follow the Return of Products Instructions below. Returns will not be accepted without a Purchase Invoice and Receipt of Purchase. Manufacturer restrictions do apply. Any item missing the UPC on the original packaging may not be returned. 

PROCEDURES FOR CLAIMING UNDER WARRANTY TERMS 

Customers filing claims under the above warranty terms shall follow these procedures to obtain service:

1. If repairs are required, the customer must provide proof of purchase. Repair services are rendered by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED only. Shipping cost on any item returned for repair is the customer’s responsibility. 

2. All returned parts must be packaged in their original box along with a letter detailing the purchaser’s name, address, contact phone number and email address as available, and a detailed description of the problem(s) causing the return. A copy of the original proof of purchase must accompany all returns. No COD packages will be accepted. No package will be accepted without a Purchase invoice and Receipt of purchase. 

3.  SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED will not be responsible for shipping damage/loss of any product.

4.  Upon receiving a returned item, SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED will repair or replace it (at SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED’s discretion) without charge (if under full warranty) and after payment is received in cleared funds (if out of full warranty or under limited warranty) and will test it for good order functioning with or without the presence of the customer or customer’s accredited representative before the item is released in good condition.

5. Items will only be shipped at the customer’s fully paid cost without being tested in the presence of the customer or his/her chosen representative at the direction of the customer and after a written consent is received from the customer stating that he/she assumes full liability for not having the component/product/system tested in their presence.

6.  The customer assumes full liability for losses or damages resulting from shipping as well as all responsibility to pursue remuneration for such issues with their selected carrier. 

POST WARRANTY SERVICE 

The procedure for post-warranty service is the same as outlined above for repairs and shipping. However, the customer shall be responsible for the full cost of repair services, including labor and the current price of part(s) used in repair. 

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS 

The SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED Component/Product/System warranty defined clearly above does not include offer of technical support by phone or video-based troubleshooting including installed OS or other programs. Such Technical support should be pursued through channels offered by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED technical support services. 

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED accepts no liability for problems caused by after-market hardware or software modifications or additions. 

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED is not responsible for giving any technical support concerning the installation or integration of any Component/Product/System that the customer did not purchase from or pay SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED to install.

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED is not responsible for loss of data or time, associated with hardware failure. Customers are responsible for backing up any data for their own protection. 

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED is not responsible for any loss of work (“down time”) caused by a product requiring service. This warranty is null and void if the defect or malfunction was due to damage resulting from operation not within manufacturer specifications. It will also be null and void if there are indications of misuse and/or abuse. 

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED has the option of voiding the warranty if anyone other than a SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED’s accredited technician attempts to service a component/product/system sold by SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED. 

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED will not warrant any problems/damages arising from an act of God (such as lighting, flooding, tornado, earthquake, etc.) or from such acts as rioting, wanton vandalism, bombing, etc., electrical spikes or surges, or problems/damages arising out of third party hardware or devices added to complement any system/component bought at SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED. 

Under no circumstances will SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED be responsible for any refund or remuneration exceeding the original purchase price of a component/product/system less any shipping fees and restocking fees.

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED makes every effort to ensure that all aforementioned warranty information is current and correct, and retains the absolute right to update the information in part or whole at will without prior notice. It is the responsibility and duty of the customer to check the currency of any warranty information on this website from time to time.

SOLARSPLENDOR LIMITED shall not be held responsible for typographical errors on sales receipts, repair tickets, or on our website.
